Jad*
Kidnapped by extremist militants in Syria, young Jad comforted himself during that dark time by singing worship songs he had learned while watching a SAT-7 KIDS program.
Years later on a phone call with presenter Marianne, Jad shares his story.
I spent 40 years of my life among people of a different faith and I lived in doubt. I thought that the path I was on was wrong and that I should search for a better way until the Lord Jesus Christ answered my troubled mind. It was a year ago last December that He touched my heart and accepted me, and I came to a deep faith in Jesus Christ. I delight in the faith I have in Him, because the thing for which I searched all my life finally came into my heart and gave me peace. I am very grateful for this channel.
Mahyar*, Afghanistan
A thousand thanks to God that from the time I have been in contact with you, my faith has grown stronger every day. My patience and endurance have increased and when I remember and call on the name of Jesus, I find peace in my being. I have discovered that I am now gradually able to resist hopelessness and negative thoughts by standing in the name of Jesus. Thank you for continuing to stand with me.”
