We recently received a statement from SAT-7 ARABIC Channels Executive Director, Rami al Halaseh, on the recent crisis affecting Morocco and Libya.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to the people of Morocco and Libya at this extremely distressing time. As a ministry, our first – and immediate – response was to call our satellite viewers and social media followers across the Middle East and North Africa to join us in prayer for all those affected.
During this week, our live programs have been covering the crises and hearing from people on the ground. We are trying to bring a message of God’s love and comfort to all those in distress. Our Viewer Support team has been on hand to respond to people reaching out for prayer and counselling, and also proactively making contact with our producers and viewers in the crisis-affected areas to check on how they are.
Please do continue to pray for Morocco and Libya, and also for our teams as they support viewers in need of care and comfort.”
He shared the following Bible verse:
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.”
Romans 8: 18-23
Please pray for:
• The suffering families who are going through much loss, that they will experience God’s love and peace through it all
• For wisdom to be imparted on those who are part of SAT-7’s Viewer Support teams, that they will know what to say to those calling in as they are in the midst of crisis
• For healing for all who have been affected
